♪ Shincha ♪

Shincha is the tea leaves that start to be picked every spring, usually referring to the first picked of tea (Ichiban tea).

Generally, picking starts in late March in the Kyushu area, and in early May in Uji. Other areas may arrive earlier or later depending on climate characteristics. Only during this limited period of the year can you have the opportunity to enjoy the special shincha.

Shincha has less bitterness, stronger sweetness and umami taste, and has the fresh aroma.

It is refreshing in the mouth and leaves a lasting sweet and umami aftertaste after drinking.
