Made from 100% Yame-grown tea leaves, directly sourced from farmers in Yame.
Crafted from premium tea leaves that undergo a light roasting process, this hojicha releases a distinctive roasted aroma while preserving layers of freshness and depth.
Umami and natural sweetness unfold gently across the palate, leaving a refined and lingering finish.
Although hojicha is typically brewed with water close to 100°C, this expression is only lightly roasted to retain the elegant sweetness and umami characteristic of high-grade Yame hojicha.
For this reason, we recommend brewing at approximately 70–80°C to minimize astringency and fully appreciate its sweetness and savory depth.
Recommended Brewing Method (1 serving)
First infusion
Place approximately 3g of tea leaves into a teapot and add hot water at 70–80°C.
Steep for about 40 seconds, then pour completely into a cup before serving.
★ Tip: Be sure to pour out every last drop to prevent over-extraction.
Second and subsequent infusions
Add hot water, steep for approximately 10 seconds, then pour fully into the cup and enjoy.
