[Tsukimi Tea] Kumamoto Hojicha Tsuki no hikari Premium Hojicha
100% Kumamoto Prefecture-grown tea used.
This Kumamoto Hojicha is made using a unique method, where the tea leaves and stems are roasted separately. This time-consuming process uses the famous Gyokuro tea leaves from Kumamoto Prefecture.
It has a very distinctive appearance, with a strong, rich roasted tea aroma and flavor, leaving a sweet fragrance in the aftertaste, and a lasting umami.
Perfect for relaxing, during meals, or after meals. It’s delicious both hot and cold.
Due to its low caffeine content, it can be enjoyed in the evening and is suitable for the elderly, pregnant women, and children.

TSUKIMI TEA - Kumamoto Takekane Tea Series:
<Characteristics of the Origin>
The tea leaves come from a tea farm in Kumamoto Prefecture's Kakuhoku Town, where the tea is grown, harvested, and processed by the farmers themselves.
The tea garden is located in the northernmost part of Kumamoto Prefecture, which is also the oldest tea-producing area in the region. The area's history dates back to around 1634, and during the Edo period, it was used as ceremonial tea for the Hosokawa clan, gradually developing into the famous "Kakuhoku Takekane Tea."
Kakuhoku Town, situated along a river with surrounding mountains, often experiences mist in the mornings and evenings, with a significant temperature difference between day and night, making it an ideal location for growing tea.
The tea farm we collaborate with places great importance on soil quality.
Since its establishment, the farm has used organic fertilizers, which are time-consuming but result in a tea with more umami components.
They also adhere to the "grown and processed by us" philosophy, focusing on cultivating high-quality, safe tea.
Kakuhoku Town has a relatively small tea production, and it is typically sold locally. We are fortunate to be able to offer it to everyone in Hong Kong now.
