"Uji no Kaori" is crafted by a master tea blender using high-quality Uji sencha leaves grown in Kyoto Prefecture, combined with a generous amount of karigane*. This results in a rich and aromatic hojicha powder with a deep, complex flavor.
Before grinding, the leaves are roasted using traditional hojicha processing methods to develop its signature nutty, caramel-like notes and captivating roasted aroma. Instead of deep roasting, a light roasting technique is used to enhance the hojicha’s fragrance. The resulting powder has a golden-brown hue.
Finely ground to highlight the hojicha’s rich flavor, color, and aroma, this powder retains its roasted character without fading over time.
"UUji no Kaori" is perfect for making hojicha lattes, ice cream, and puddings, as well as various desserts and baked goods.
*Karigane: Stems from high-quality gyokuro tea.
