為日本傳統工藝品之一，生產於日本岐阜縣，自古以來陶瓷盛產之地，佔了全日本陶瓷器的60%的生產量。
其樣式樸實簡潔和，色彩鮮明，和風味濃厚，性價比高，價格相對較便宜，於日本日常生活經常使用。
