This chasen (Tea whisk) handcrafted in Takayama district,Ikoma city,Nara. Made by master crafsman Tango Tanimura.The whisks are high quality and constructed with a skillful precision, and the bamboo tinesare extremely flexible, making Tango's chasen very durable and a joy to use.
Shin-Kazuho: use for making Usucha (thin tea) or Koicha(thick tea).
Chasen is one of the tea utensils used for preparingpowdered green tea (matcha) in the Japanese tea ceremony.
